- PRESIDENT'S DAY is celebrated in the United States on the third Monday of February? This year it will be celebrated on Monday, February 20th.
- This holiday is a celebration of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln's birthdays?
- George Washington was born on February 22, 1732? He was Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolution and later became the first president of the United States.
- Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809? He was the 16th president of the United States. He was known as "Honest Abe" because of his fairness and honesty and signed the Emancipation Proclamation on September 22, 1862. This Proclamation did not end slavery in all the states but instead granted freedom to the slaves living in the any State that had left the Union.
